This guide provides instructions and information about Stanford Web Services Jumpstart platform, based on Drupal 7.
We've released our new Stanford Sites on Drupal 8 (D8) platform — the new framework for Stanford Sites in 2020 and beyond. Check out our new User Guide to help you set up your website on the D8 platform.
The Stanford News feature is used to display news stories. You can display a few news items in a block or see them all on a full page view.
Site owners can add, edit, and delete any news item. Editors can only add and edit any news item.
Before starting, be sure to know the values for each of the fields listed in Stanford News Item fields.
You have several avenues for finding and editing a news item. If you find the news item you may see an Edit link which will direct you to the node edit page for that news item.
You can either unpublish the news item to keep it on the site just not viewable or you can completely delete the news item. If you delete the news item, this is not reversible.
