This guide provides instructions and information about Stanford Web Services Jumpstart platform, based on Drupal 7.
We've released our new Stanford Sites on Drupal 8 (D8) platform — the new framework for Stanford Sites in 2020 and beyond. Check out our new User Guide to help you set up your website on the D8 platform.
Site Owners can manage redirects. A URL redirect is a technique to make a web page available under more than one website address. It allows a user to go to a page with a different link.
The Redirect module in Drupal allows you to create redirects one at a time.
Select "Create Redirect" from the Site Actions menu.
Enter the source path in the From field
Enter the destination path in the To field
The destination can be a path if it's on your Drupal site, or a full URL if you want to redirect to an external website.
Almost all the time, you will want to leave Redirect status set to "Default (301)". You can learn more about HTTP status codes at HTTP Status Dogs.
