Link an Icon to a Social Media Page

Link to your social media pages. Each icon represents a different social media service.

Site owners and editors have permission to change social media links.

Getting the link to your social media page

  1. Navigate to the desired social media page (e.g., https://www.facebook.com/stanford).
  2. Copy the full URL for that page.

Adding a social media link to your site

  1. After logging in, navigate to a page where the Connect block appears.
  2. Hover of the upper right-hand side of the block.
  3. Click the gear widget gear icon.
  4. Click Edit Block.
  5. On the Edit Block page, locate your desired social media service.
  6. In the link field, delete the existing URL and paste the new URL for your social media page.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
  8. Test the link by clicking on the icon for your social media service.

Removing a social media icon from the Connect block

  1. After logging in, navigate to a page where the Connect block appears.
  2. Hover of the upper right-hand side of the block.
  3. Click the gear widget gear icon.
  4. Click Edit Block.
  5. On the Edit Block page, locate the social media service you are not using.
  6. In the link field, delete the existing URL.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
